The Idea Behind this Midjourney Cocktail Prompt Set
It’s currently 40C in Mallorca, and all I could think about today was drinking a really large refreshing cocktail. Preferably from a bottomless glass so I can continuously clench my everlasting thirst.
Unfortunately, it’s only Tuesday, and my work schedule doesn’t allow me to have this much fun. So, instead, I created some “people” who can enjoy colorful fruit cocktails whenever they like!

Midjourney Prompts Explained
I’ve mixed different keywords and themes to create a unique and unusual look for this Happy Hour Free Midjourney prompt set.
Using specific keywords can substantially affect the output, and I recommend experimenting by changing my prompts.
In this next section, I briefly go over the effect of the keywords in this prompt set and how to change them for a different look and feel.
Midjourney doesn’t consider everything in your prompt equally. Put the most important keywords at the beginning of your prompts to ensure they’re showing in the final image.
Disclaimer: Midjourney doesn’t always follow your instructions very precisely, but the shorter your prompt, the better it will transfer your ideas to the final image.
Important Prompt Keywords
The most important keywords in the Happy Hour Cocktail Midjourney Prompt Set:
Subject: Define the age and gender of your subject for a different look and feel or add more subjects to your image.
Try this instead: a young female, a married couple, elderly lovebirds, 3 middle-aged men, 2 friends in their twenties, etc.
Nationality: The subject’s nationality can significantly affect the overall look and feel of a Midjourney image. It is reflected in fashion, poses, hairstyles, patterns, textures, and cultural objects.
Try this instead: Japanese, Icelandic, Chinese, Egyptian, Nigerian, Korean, Swedish, Spanish, etc.
Candid: Candid is a great word to add to your prompt when you want a more casual pose instead of a formal one.
Try this instead: formal portrait, vogue editorial, group photo, etc.
Eccentric: Eccentric is a good keyword to make your subjects look more interesting and unique, often adding quirky glasses, hats, and fashion choices.
Try this instead: preppy, casual, royal, unique, strange, quirky, whimsical, etc.
Fashion: Haute Couture is a great keyword to give your subjects a unique and fashionable wardrobe.
Try this instead: sports attire, casual outfit, glamorous nightgown, leather suit, tuxedo, streetwear, Chanel dress, etc.
Setting: Define where your subject is to create interesting backgrounds for your portraits.
Try this instead: old Irish pub, futuristic bar, retro 60s bar, nightclub, etc.
Symmetry: Symmetry is a handy keyword to add when creating portraits with interesting or repeating backgrounds. Leave it out for a more casual look.
Mural: Murals are great for creating colorful, unique backgrounds with gorgeous patterns and artwork.
Try this instead: graffiti wall art, real flower wall, Portuguese tiles, mosaic, abstract wallpaper, etc.
Season: Setting the season will affect the color intensity, fashion choices, and overall location setting.
Try this instead: snowy winter’s day, spring morning, cloudy autumn day, etc.
Color: You can change the colors to create a different vibe in your image.
Try this instead: green and blue, black & white, ombre pastels, earthy tones, etc.
Parameters for Midjourney Cocktail Prompt Set
These images are generated with Midjourney version 5.2 in Aspect Ratio 2:3, so they’re perfect for sharing on your Instagram Stories and Pinterest Pins. Adjust these parameters to your liking.
Prompt 1: TGIF!
The idea behind this prompt was to create unique, colorful characters in a bright summer setting, drinking refreshing fruity cocktails.

Prompt 2: At the Tiki Bar
For this prompt, I focused on creating a tropical Tiki beach bar with classic Hawaiian floral prints and flowers, bartenders, glassware, customers, and a magical beach hut!
Design your own fun bar and change the prompts to fit your style!

Prompt 3: Cheers!
To tie it all together, I wanted to create some close-up shots of all the colorful cocktails that can be found on the menu.
Midjourney struggles with the concept of putting paper umbrellas and fruit in drinks. You can exclude them by using the –no parameter. This set displays a combination of these options.
