Midjourney Prompts Explained
I’ve used a reference image for this prompt to ensure the Barbie doll resembles Margot Robbie.
Using a reference image in Midjourney is super easy. You can read my full how-to guide with screenshots or check the 4 steps below to get started.
How to use a Reference Image in Midjourney
Step 1: Take a screenshot of this photo of Margot Robbie on Instagram and crop it.
Step 2: Open Discord, tap the plus icon located left of your prompt text bar, and select your image. Hit enter or the arrow button to confirm.
Step 3: Wait for the image to load, tap, and hold to open the Share option. Copy the URL.
Step 4: Type /imagine in your prompt bar, paste the image URL (it should end with .jpg or .png), and add the rest of your prompt.

Parameters for this Barbie Prompt Set
These images are generated with Midjourney version 5.2 in Aspect Ratio 2:3, so they’re perfect for sharing on your Instagram Stories and Pinterest Pins. Adjust these parameters to your liking.
Because Midjourney isn’t good with holding bags (yet), I’ve excluded them with the –no parameter for each prompt.

Prompt 1: Summer Barbie
Follow the above steps and use the correct reference image for similar results. Alternatively, you can also use your favorite image of Margot Robbie as a reference.
Please note that not all images will look exactly like Margot Robbie. Make sure to rerun each prompt a few times and select the best ones!
